THE THING

...and I thought of something interesting. In both of the films about THE THING, it is made clear the "flying saucer" pilot was outside of the ship, entering the freezing cold.

Why?

Could be simple: the creature is not the species that built the saucer. The alien astronaut, realizing it was infected, opted to die in an area where the parasite could do no harm.

 Just a thought.

Climate Change Theory

I have a paranoid theory about the climate change. The people on Wall Street with all the money know it to be true, and they're trying to get as rich as possible in order to "ride it out".

Thrift store DVD

I settled back and started to watch a thrift store DVD. The title is THE CRIPPLED MASTERS. It stars no one I had ever heard of, that being Jackie Conn and Frankie Shum. It is an exploitation film. A rough outline of a story, and almost well done. One of these kung Fu masters was born without arms and the other has no use for his legs.  They team up to get revenge: the story being an evil Master  ( or King, that dubbing is confusing) has lopped off the arms of one, and poured acid on the legs of the other.  What happens is pretty oddball. They do know these moves, and the two do it well. But still, I'm wondering in my mind about this: is this exploitation? Or is it really a freak show to watch?

More automotive hell

And an update, at long last. The Honda Civic was abandoned as junk after the radiator stopped working. There was no flow of the water and fluid in it, and it would overheat in about five minutes. Of course, this meant I had to use the Beast, which is a large clunky Subaru With its own set of problems.

For example: the battery died on it. Now, there is one thing about this car that was not noticed before. When the battery is gone, the brakes and steering wheel will not work.  Giani decided it needed to be towed to Admiral Tires for repair.(There were other things wrong with it).  She set up the tow strap hitched up her car  And not finding a lock on the Subaru , clipped the tow rope to the rack on the car top. I was in the towed car. Let's just say it was truama.  We reached Dover and the rack was yanked apart.
