persona non sequitur

I suppose it will be all right. I'm going to be getting an operation on m left eye, because the retina has come loose from the back of the eye. I started having the symptoms of a lot of floaters showing in my field of vision: this had happened before, and it was a matter of waiting for the eye to absorb the material (a small blood clot)...but here, I see no clarity, but shapes and glowing spots and sunlight and shadows.

The operation is on the 2nd of June. I will have to spend three weeks with my face down in order for the operation take...

I guess the original idea of spending three weeks watching DVDs and relaxing are now kind of moot....

This happened to my wife, Gloria, a few years ago. If you would like to talk to her about it, I will say sopmething to her.

I just found out that an old friend of mine in England has exactly the same problem. His surgery is scheduled late in July.
